She also indicated that the entry information for the Sweepstakes classes on the website still indicate Barb being the contact person, this needs to be changed to Nancy. SSA: We have sold 41 stallions so far. Stallions still available at 40% off. Newsletter: The April newsletter will be mailed at the end of March, please send your information ASAP. The information booklet will be included with the April newsletter. Shows: New high point rules to convey the sharing of points with the Southern club need to be drafted for the Info book. Mike is to email them to Deb. Trail Rides: Kaye Springstead has agreed to take over the Trail Riding program. Look for information regarding upcoming events in the newsletter. Thanks Kaye! Youth: Tracie reported that she is working to stimulate new interest in the Youth Club. She has ideas for several new events and considers 2007 to be a building year. Thanks Tracie for taking the initiative for the Youth Club! Zone 8: Pauli reported that the Judges were hired and the NSBA approval is applied for. The show will be held June 9-10. There is still a need for help at this show. Contact Pauli for more information. Old Business: The current non profit status of the club is 501C-7. This status does not enable donations to the club to be tax deductible. It is believed that our membership needs to be 51% under 21 yrs. Of age. Deb will look into doing a more in depth analysis of our membership and the requirements. Pauli motioned to eliminate High point division awards for HP Halter mare, gelding and stallion. This would not affect high point class awards or high point halter horse, just the division awards. After much discussion passed 8-7. This will generate a savings of $225. Denny moved to adjourn at 2:22pm. Ron seconded. Meeting adjourned. Submitted by Deb Tiede in Mike Carlson’s absence. |
